If you can see your path laid out in front of you step by step, you know it’s not your path. Your own path you make with every step you take. That’s why it’s your path.-—Joseph Campbell

Daily Enlightenment

There is no enlightenment outside of daily life.  Thich Nhat Hahn

       1. Having breakfast with my brother and his girlfriend and watching their playfulness.  He’s fun to be with.

2.  Talking with a writing buddy.  We haven’t written together for a while. I miss her deeply.

3.  Cutting open my first homegrown watermelon.  It thumps and it’s heavy, but it doesn’t slip off the stem.  I pick it anyway.  It is totally not ripe.  Fortunately, there are many others on the vine.  Perhaps I’ll learn to be more patient before the summer is over.

4.  After a superior job of parallel parking beside the downtown library, discovering  I don’t have my library card with me.  Oh well, it was good parking practice.

Concrete personal examples of another’s beautiful words
