If you can see your path laid out in front of you step by step, you know it’s not your path. Your own path you make with every step you take. That’s why it’s your path.-—Joseph Campbell

Don’t Forget to Live

It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live, remember that.  J. K. Rowling
  1. Stayed for a second hour of Jazzercise this morning.  Every pair of partners who attend a total of sixty classes in June and July wins magenta Jazzercise tank tops.  I do not wear tank tops and magenta is not a good color on me, but we’re so close…I’m going to be sore in the morning.
  1. Had lunch with Melissa and her three young children.  The seven-year-old and I enjoyed making farting noises with the ketchup bottle.  It reminded me of dinner time antics with my brothers.
  1. Read all afternoon.  I finished Plain and Simple by Sue Bender and have another 40 pages in Nick Hornsby’s A Long Way Down. Reading has been a favorite pastime of mine for forever.
  1. Still want to be a writer.  Do daily morning pages, a new blog, and facilitating writing workshops this week at several branch libraries qualify?

Feeling very satisfied with the present moment
