If you can see your path laid out in front of you step by step, you know it’s not your path. Your own path you make with every step you take. That’s why it’s your path.-—Joseph Campbell

The Learning Channel

A  rigorous new assessment plan for our state’s public school teachers is being implemented this year, and we in the college’s education department want these new teachers prepared.  I need to make some changes in this semester’s intern seminar.

During yesterday’s meeting of supervisors for the college’s student teachers and interns, many of whom are retired teachers, I hear concerns.  Experienced teachers in the schools are having concerns too.  Change is not easy.

I want to keep my focus on the children.

Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see.    John W. Whitehead

  1. I’m not a parent, but I am the daughter and granddaughter of teachers. Keep the focus on the kids — they are our future.
