If you can see your path laid out in front of you step by step, you know it’s not your path. Your own path you make with every step you take. That’s why it’s your path.-—Joseph Campbell

New Thoughts on Thoughts

I’m not sure how this works…

I posted quotes from Chogyam Trungpa because…well, I’m not sure. I read his book Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism years ago and for some reason his name was on my radar, so I googled him. Whoa! Were his words speakin’ to me!

This morning I wake with warrior thoughts.

I wanted to respond to a particular comment that was on my computer last night. Voila…it resolved itself without my know-it-all intervention.

I wanted more clarification on a major character in my evolving story. I see her now from a different perspective.

I’ve been aware of new energy in myself. Is it coming from a new way of thinking?

Help me, Buddha.

We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.

We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.

The wise ones fashioned speech with their thought, sifting it as grain is sifted through a sieve.

Words for My Day

I have no words of my own for this morning’s blog.  Today I’m meditating on those from Buddha.

buddhawithlotusThe mind is everything. What you think you become.

Just as treasures are uncovered from the earth, so virtue appears from good deeds, and wisdom appears from a pure and peaceful mind. To walk safely through the maze of human life, one needs the light of wisdom and the guidance of virtue.

You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection.

There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting.

Big Mind

The mind is everything. What you think you become.  Buddha
